The 15% Food & Drink Hospitality Rates Relief

Wales offers a 15% rates relief for food and drink hospitality businesses in 2026-27, capped at £110,000 rateable value. It excludes hotels, guest houses, holiday homes and caravan parks. You must claim it from your council by 31 March 2027 — it is not automatic.

If you run a hotel, guest house, holiday home or caravan park in Wales, you're excluded from this specific relief, but you're due to move onto the lower Welsh retail multiplier from April 2027 instead — see our April 2027 and Wales 2027-28 pages.

They would pay us if you instruct them. You can check your valuation yourself free on the Valuation Office's service. No one can guarantee a reduction.
