How we make money
Reading the site and using the calculator costs nothing and never will. Here's exactly where our money comes from.
This site is free to use. We make money in two ways, both only if you choose to take the next step:
- If you ask us to pass your rates enquiry to a surveyor, and you go on to instruct them, the RICS-regulated rating firm we work with pays us a referral fee. You pay the firm's normal fee for their work; you don't pay us anything.
- If you ask us to pass an employment or HR enquiry to our HR partner, and your business signs up with them, they may pay us a referral fee.
We're a bar owner's information site, not a surveyor. If you send this form, we may pass your details to a RICS-regulated rating firm we work with, who will contact you. They would pay us if you instruct them. You can check your valuation yourself free on the Valuation Office's service. No one can guarantee a reduction.
We don't charge for reading the site, using the calculator, or the data tables. We never take a cut of any rates saving, and we never guarantee a reduction — no one legitimately can.
What we don't do
We don't act as your rating agent. We don't hold client money. We don't charge upfront fees. If we ever change how we're paid, this page will say so, dated.
